Broadcaster says Belgian child euthanasia like "Hitler's mercy killing"
Popular broadcaster George Hook has described the legalisation of child euthanasia in Belgium as shocking, and compared it to the horrific so-called mercy killing introduced by Hitler for children with physical disability.

Protect children: petition to stop euthanasia in Belgium
Some 15,000 people have already signed a petition urging the President of the Belgium Commission of Justice and the President of the Social Affairs Committee to reject a proposed Bill which seeks to legalise euthanasia for children.

Study Shows People in “Vegetative” State Were Incorrectly Diagnosed
There is more encouraging news coming out of Canada regarding the very unscientific persistent vegetative state (PVS) diagnosis. Once again there has been a study regarding three people who were incorrectly thought to be in a PVS.

Major victory for life in Europe: 'Euthanasia must always be prohibited'
Yesterday, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a non-binding resolution stating: "Euthanasia, in the sense of the intentional killing by act or omission of a dependent human being for his or her alleged benefit, must always be prohibited."

Nitschke an "attention-seeker with a dangerous message"
Life Institute spokeswoman, Niamh Uí Bhriain, has said that Dr Philip Nitschke's persistent visits to Ireland are an attempt to continually seek media attention, but that the message of the euthanasia advocate is both disturbing and dangerous.

77 percent of people with disabilities concerned about assisted suicide
A British poll has found that 77% of people with disability aged 18-24 and 71% of disabled people aged 25-34 were "concerned about pressure being placed on other disabled people to end their lives prematurely, if there were a change in the law on assisted suicide".
