Last week, the French Senate commission voted in favor of a bill that would legalize euthanasia. On Tuesday they retracted their vote and took to a debate and were met by a group who creatively "voiced" their disapproval of the actions of the Senate last week.

A bill that would have seen Scotland legalize assisted suicide was defeated this week, for a second time. The measure to legalize euthanasia was voted down last month, and this past week, was brought to a vote for a second time, and again defeated.

A bill that proposed to legalize assisted suicide in Scotland has been rejected by a committee of cross-party Scottish parliamentarians. A five-to-one majority of the committee said Wednesday that they could not recommend approval of the principles of the bill.

A man named Richard Rudd was left paralysed and brain damaged after suffering a motorbike accident last October. Richard's father reluctantly gave permission for treatment to be withdrawn from his 43-year-old son at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
