This week the news broke that yet another woman has been tragically killed by a “safe, legal abortion.”
Cree Erwin, a 24 year old single mother from Michigan, died on 3 July 2016 - three days after undergoing an abortion at the Kalamazoo Planned Parenthood clinic. Ms. Erwin reported to the Emergency Room suffering from complications from the abortion procedure and died several hours later.

The young mother’s family and friends have created a gofundme fundraising page in order to raise money for her funeral. The page describes Erwin as “mother, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend to many” and states that “her passing was very unexpected and abrupt leaving her loved one's in shock and very shaken. She IS greatly loved and greatly missed.”
Sadly, the Planned Parenthood of Kalamazoo is no stranger to activities that have placed women in danger. LifeNews reports that, in 2015, “an ambulance was summoned for a 15-year old abortion patient of the Kalamazoo Planned Parenthood who was struggling to breathe. An abortion worker asked the 911 dispatcher to send the ambulance with no lights or sirens despite the patient’s life-threatening, Priority 1, condition.”
LifeNews goes on to report, “A complaint has been filed by Operation Rescue against the Kalamazoo Planned Parenthood, seeking a revocation of its facility license that permits it to conduct abortions. Meanwhile, a homicide investigation conducted by the Battle Creek Police Department remains open pending the release of Erwin’s autopsy report, which may not be available for weeks or months.”
Cree Erwin has sadly joined a list of women who have died tragically a result of abortions that are still routinely referred to as “safe and legal”. However, the deaths of Ms. Erwin, Tonya Reeves, Jennifer Morbelli, Holly Patterson, and many others prove only that there is no such thing as a safe abortion- regardless of how legal it is.
