If only others had your will to live.. help us to help them

Youth Defence receives no funding from the government or any other agency or organisation. We depend entirely on donations. Youth Defence relies on the support of people like you to be able to continue making a difference for Ireland’s mothers and babies.

Why include Youth Defence in your will?
For more than 17 years Youth Defence have dedicated all our efforts to the protection of our unborn brothers and sisters and the future of our country. For many Irish people, especially young mothers, Youth Defence was the very visible representation for those who were voiceless. In highlighting the humanity of the child in the womb we changed the hearts and minds of many Irish people who were open to our message.

We have done this invaluable work only with the support and prayers of people like you. Your belief in our work, in Ireland, and in the very future of our society has helped us to maintain a pro-life majority and has kept Ireland abortion-free.

Your support for Youth Defence shows a special commitment to mothers and babies in Ireland and indeed throughout the world. Our work has already saved countless lives but one of our major objectives still stands. Together we must ensure that the unborn child remains constitutionally protected. We rely on your support to continue our vital work.

Our beliefs should remain after us when we finally leave this world, to go, please God to our eternal reward. To remember Youth Defence in your will is to show a serious commitment to strengthening that commitment to the sanctity of life, which we all share.

You can help us to continue in what the Holy Father called the most important work on earth by remembering our pro-life efforts in your will. It’s very easy to arrange and will have a lasting impact. You can pledge a fixed amount, a proportion of your estate or a special gift.

Why we need legacy income?
A will is the easiest and most effective means to ensure that you fully provide for your family and that your assets are distributed as you wish. By making a will you can be absolutely certain that what you leave will go to the people you choose.

Leaving a benefit to Youth Defence in your will is your chance to provide long term assistance in re-establishing the culture of life. It may even give you the opportunity to make a special gift which you may not have been able to make in your lifetime.
You can make a difference - and a lasting one - with a legacy to Youth Defence.

How we will use your gift?
By remembering Youth Defence in your will, you can help meet the costs of our work in the future. We are entirely dependant on voluntary contributions for our work and we hope that legacies will enable us to budget more effectively for bigger projects.

If you decide to make Youth Defence a beneficiary of your will, any money you donate will be used to further the cause of an abortion free Ireland.

Money enables us to budget for development and expansion so that we can protect future generations of children from abortion. Please support Youth Defence in your will and make sure your beliefs live on after your death.

Supporting Youth Defence into the Future
If you have not yet made a will you may like to know that there are three ways in which you can leave a legacy under a will, leaving a proportion of the residue of your estate, leaving a fixed sum or leaving a valuable gift.

If you have already made a will you can still help Youth Defence by adding what is called a codicil to your will. This can then be read in conjunction with your existing will on your death.
